This upscale French-Belgian restaurant impresses with fixed-price three-course meals from the mind of celebrity chef Robert Wiedmaier. These expansive meals feature impressive dishes like tempura of soft shell crab, salmon with coriander, and chocolate cremeux.

This luxurious American restaurant is set in a renovated Federal house with six dining rooms, each fashioned with antiques, period equestrian and historical prints, and Limoges china. The romance carries on through to the seasonal menu which sees upscale creations like Nantucket Bay scallop crudo, and butter-poached lobster.

Tall ceilings, white-brick walls and a cozy fireplace all add up to make Iron Gate one of the nicest dining rooms in our neighborhood of Dupont Circle. The seasonal menus here are comprised of Mediterranean-inspired, Mezze-driven dishes created on a wood-burning hearth and rotisserie.

The brainchild of celebrity chef Hamilton Johnson, Honeysuckle is a standout on the list of the most romantic restaurants in DC. The dining room is dim-lit with tattoo-art-inspired murals, and the Nordic-Southern-inspired menu features dishes like veal hangar steak, and skillet roasted scallops.

With its clean and modern dining room, Obelisk is an attractive restaurant in Dupont Cirlce that serves simply superb Italian cuisine. Since the late 80’s this has been the neighborhood’s go-to spot for five-course tasting menu dinners that will make any date night unforgettable.

Komi is a fancy American-Mediterranean restaurant that also impresses neighborhood diners with its fixed-price tasting menu dinners. Set in a historic Dupont Circle townhouse, Komi’s dinners change regularly, each featuring twelve or so dishes paired with selections from an Old World wine menu.

Those of you who are looking for a classically romantic Italian restaurant should check out Georgetown’s Filomena Ristorante. The dim-lit dining room, an expansive wine list, and dishes like arancini, and linguine cardinale all add up to make this a dynamite date destination.
