The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a celebration of the annual bloom of DC’s exceptional collection of cherry trees. The most well known and spectacular event of the many comprising this four-week festival is the National Cherry Blossom Parade. Each year, this marvelous gathering attracts countless high-flying floats, colorful helium balloon giants, and tens of thousands gathered to take in the festivities. The National Cherry Blossom Parade will run along Constitution Avenue, with free-standing room sections running from 9th Street to 15th Street NW.
