Best Outdoor Restaurants to Eat at in Washington DC

Spring is in full swing, which means that DC locals are over the moon at the chance to sit in the sun again. Join the festivities, and spend as much time outdoors as possible on your upcoming trip, especially if you’re sitting down for a meal. These are some of our favorite places to eat outdoors in town.

Tredici Enoteca

Tredici Enoteca is one of the most talked-about restaurants in DC, serving innovative Mediterranean-inspired cuisine right here at the St. Gregory Hotel. Its patio on 21st Street is one of our favorite destinations for outdoor dining this spring and summer.

One of the hippest New American cafes in DC, Downtown’s Moxie’s is great throughout the day, and particularly one of our favorite outdoor brunches in town. Grab one of its famous egg sandwiches and enjoy with friends on the storefront patio this spring.

Old Ebbitt Grill

Old Ebbitt Grill has been a hangout for presidents and politicians for decades. Today, it’s a must-visit for first-time DC travelers, especially when you can indulge in its famous jumbo lump crab cakes outside in the elegant courtyard.

Brick Lane

Located right in our own Dupont Circle neighborhood, Brick Lane is as classy and dependable of an American-style restaurant that you’ll find in DC. Its sidewalk patio lets you enjoy the sunshine with brunch favorites like mimosas and omelets, or a hearty burger later in the day.

Garden District

Take advantage of a warm spring or summer day in DC by heading to one of the city’s most popular German beer gardens at Garden District. Drink oversized beers and chow on pretzels and American barbecue favorites at this local favorite.
